Picked a regular up from the airport this morning and delivered him to his favourite Auckland hotel, The Langham.

Over the years I’ve dropped this man here at least 30 odd times – he doesn’t stay anywhere else.

Occasionally I pop inside and grab a coffee.  A great place with fantastic history.

In May 1850, Charles Partington purchased land in Symonds Street for £200, and commenced the construction of “the new Windmill” at a cost of £2000.  The Langham Hotel was subsequently built on the windmill’s site in 1981 It opened as the Sheraton Hotel in 1982.

The Langham has expansive views of the city’s leafy green parks and its bustling downtown district.  411 guest rooms and suites that envelop you in spacious sophistication.

Situated near upper Queen Street, the hotel is located within walking distance of the stunning waterfront, the lush Auckland Domain, and other key attractions. Enjoy the city’s natural beauty and get easy access to its unique sights from this conveniently located hotel.
